Adding Audio to your Blog

Is really pretty easy.

I have a Flash audio plugin installed that will automatically look for an .mp3 file at the path you place inside your post.

Here is the syntax:

audio:http://www.somedomain.com/path/to/name_of_mp3_file.mp3

1. simply write in your domain and path in the above URL
2. Place the WHOLE LINE in brackets [...]
3. SAVE

Ok we will do a demonstration

Here is the url to my song Night Rider

http://www.soundclick.com/util/downloadsong.cfm?id=2661552

Now I put the “audio” header in front

audio:http://www.soundclick.com/util/downloadsong.cfm?id=2661552

Now I put the whole line [in brackets] and the song will load and you will see the transport to start the song below:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

And you hear my song! Its important to use ONLY .MP3 files. Use the 320 bit rate for best quality. I think 128 and 256 will work too.

If your song is on soundclick, you have to use the download URL, not the streaming URL.

If the song is on your own website, just type in the path to the mp3 file.

Enjoy,
